This painting print, bearing the blessed name of Prophet Muhammad (ﷺ), is an interplay of colour, Qur’anic verses, and poetry, bringing together layers of sacred text and symbolism in a harmonious composition.
The base background of this painting has yellow ochre along with burnt sienna and olive green.
There are two panels with one overlapping the other adding an element of depth. In the inner area some Quranic phrases used for Prophet (SAW) are painted. These are رَحْمَةًۭ لِّلْعَـٰلَمِين (a mercy for the whole world), خَاتَمَٱلنَّبِيِّـۧنَ(the seal of the prophets), ٱللَّهِأُسْوَةٌحَسَنَةٌۭ(an excellent example) andشَـٰهِدًۭاوَمُبَشِّرًۭا(a bearer of good news and warning).
In the outer bands engraving method is used to write Durud-e-Ibrahimi in the vertical band and a Quranic verse—-إِنَّ ٱللَّهَ وَمَلَـٰٓئِكَتَهُۥ يُصَلُّونَ عَلَى ٱلنَّبِىِّ ۚ يَـٰٓأَيُّهَا ٱلَّذِينَ ءَامَنُوا۟ صَلُّوا۟ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلِّمُوا۟ تَسْلِيمًا(God and His angels bless the Prophet- so, you who believe, bless him too and give him greetings of peace) —-in the horizontal one.
Between the background and foreground some couplets from Iqbal’s Jawab-e-Shikwa are written, fading into the background. These verses relate to Prophet Muhammad (SAW).
The lines—-
کی محمدؐ سے وفا تُو نے تو ہم تیرے ہی
یہ جہاں چیز ہے کیا، لوح و قلم تیرے ہیں
admonish us to remain faithful to the message of Prophet in to be successful in the hereafter.
The centre is dominated by Prophet’s name shining in the silver foil in the thuluth script.
