A print of an original Islamic calligraphy painting inspired by Surah Adh-Dhariyat (51:20–23), with the central calligraphy featuring a portion of verse 22:
وَفِي السَّمَاءِ رِزْقُكُمْ وَمَا تُوعَدُونَ
“And in the sky is your sustenance and all that you are promised.”
The central verse is surrounded by verses 20–23 in their entirety, allowing the artwork to present the broader context of the passage. Above it, the divine oaths from the opening verses of the Surah (51:1–5) further reinforce the theme of certainty in Allah’s promises.
The background echoes the imagery of the verses. Dark, clouded skies open into a luminous expanse around the divine oaths, while fields and vegetation spread across the lower portion of the composition, evoking the earth as a sign of Allah’s care and a source of sustenance.
The interplay of expressive Arabic calligraphy, deep blues, luminous tones and earthy landscape imagery gives the composition a contemplative character—bringing together the themes of faith, divine promise, sustenance and the signs of Allah in creation.
